Europe Lectures the US on Gun Control

The European media is blaming the Virginia Tech shootings on the lack of gun control in the U.S. It so happens that gun control was in effect on the campus. The state of Virginia had previously quashed a bill allowing handguns on campus, despite a previous incident at nearby Appalachian Law School where students with guns were able to stop a mass shooter. If turning college campuses into gun-free zones was supposed to make them safe, why didn’t it work yesterday at Virginia Tech? It didn't work, because gun control was never designed to keep us safe. Gun control only benefits dictatorships. If you don't believe that, consider the Nazi connection to gun control. (Has Europe forgotten this little detail from their own history?)
